You can display your data in the UX > Views section of the editor. There are a variety of different View Types from which to choose. Regardless of which view you choose, besides maps and charts, you can control the order in which the rows are displayed for a particular view, as well as column order and column width. You can also group your data by categories, an especially useful function if you have a lot of it.
In this section, you have the option to create hidden views that are only used when drilling down into your data or displaying a row via a Ref column. These are called reference views. Additionally, you can display images and documents in a view, as well as URLs, documents, and audio files. It's also possible to link to PDF files in a view.
All AppSheet apps have a launch bar at the bottom. Control buttons in the launch bar allow users to switch between different views of the data.
Four buttons are present in all apps: the Share button, the Sync button, the About button in the upper left hamburger menu, and the "Log Out" button also found in the upper left hamburger menu.
Then there are buttons present in some apps, depending on the update modes you have chosen for your app: New, Edit, Delete, Save, and Cancel.
Adding data views
As the creator of the app, you can add other view buttons, even when you already have one view for a particular table. You do this in the UX tab of the editor.
The buttons are identified by their position: Left, Center, Right, or Menu -- the last one means that the view can be accessed from the hamburger menu, while the other positions refer to the positions at the bottom of the screen. For each of the positions, you choose a control name, a presentation type, the data you want the view based upon, and a couple of presentation options as described below. If you leave the name empty, no view control button is shown in that position.
